To ensure I am engaging in reciprocal, collaborative professional learning relationships it is important that I meet with parents and students to discuss their learning and goals. I have done this with every student in my class this term. This is an example of the things discussed in 1 of my 3 way conferences.

Our class keeps a current and up-to-date blog to celebrate and share our learning. This ensures and builds professional relationships with family/whanau and allows the students to share their learning and achievements that they are proud of.

Below are some examples of how I keep my assessment data in my assessment book and some analysis of mathematical assessment to direct my teaching in order to fill students mathematical knowledge gaps. This analysis is of their beginning of year math knowledge stage test.

Here I have examples of how I keep my assessment data and records all organised and easy to use. This is stored in my teacher planner so it is always at quick easy access and is very simple to use/follow. I refer to these records regularly to both check progress and also record new data. These also help me to document coverage in particular areas such as science and inquiry learning as they are not assessed as formative assessments.

Part of my learning as the lead teacher in Science, as well as my own personal learning of science, I sent this email and shared resources that I was given to assist our staff in thoroughly and effectively planning for science. This resource is extremely thorough and includes planning of the science capabilities, that we as a staff are focusing our learning around currently. I thought this planning template was awesome and extremely helpful and a great opportunity to share among staff.
